Research in Humanities is increasingly moving beyond the study of texts as isolated cultural artefacts towards the study of the material, sensory and spatial worlds in which human experience is produced. This workshop, “Emerging Research Trends in Humanities: Themes, Methods and Approaches,” brings together two compelling and relatively underexplored directions that invite scholars to rethink what constitutes a humanities object and how it can be studied. Rather than presenting established disciplinary approaches, the workshop foregrounds questions that emerge at the intersection of literature, urban studies, material culture, space, embodiment and the senses.
