Both VIT and Cognizant have surpassed their earlier records of 1,820 students from the 2012 VIT graduating batch.
VIT also set the record for the maximum number of students registered for the computer-based common entrance test for admission to the BTech programmes in 2015. A total of 2,02,406 aspirants registered for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination which was held between April 8 to 19, 2015.
