Greetings! Welcome to VIT, School of Hotel and Tourism Management

The School of Hotel and Tourism Management (HOT) was established in the year 2019. The School's vision is to provide quality education, enhance students' skills, and emerge as a global leader in preparing competent professionals in hospitality management. The school consists of experienced and dynamic faculty members, many of whom possess years of academic and industrial experience with renowned organizations, both in India and abroad.

The School offers a 3-year B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, as well as a 4th-year B.Sc. (Honors) program. This program includes a full-time, five-month industrial exposure training during the 3rd/4th semester. The curriculum remains up-to-date with the most recent advancements in the specific fields and aims to nurture hospitality professionals of exceptional quality. The syllabus is formulated and revised by the Board of Studies, which comprises individuals from respected institutions like IHM, SIHM, and renowned industries.

Apart from classroom teaching, students are involved in hands-on learning in state-of-the-art laboratories, such as Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office, and Housekeeping, to develop their skills. Following their graduation, students are placed in reputed organizations, and many students also secure admissions for further education both in India and abroad. The School offers a Ph.D. program in the field of hospitality studies. The candidates, selected through a comprehensive interview, are assigned guides and engage in rigorous coursework, thus advancing in their research endeavors.
