VIT Mathematical Meet – A State Level Math contest for school Students is a mega annual event organized by the Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences, VIT in order to create and encourage the mathematical inventiveness in young minds at the school level. The Department of Mathematics of VIT is delighted to proclaim the VIT Mathematical Meet – 2020, the 24th Annual Celebrations of the VIT Mathematics Association, to be held at Technology Tower, VIT, Vellore on 1st, February, 2020 (Saturday) from 7:00 A. M. to 05:00 P. M. Mathematics is an important subject which is the heart of many other subjects in Science, such as Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business, Management, Economics, Social Sciences, etc. Mathematics is the only field where the knowledge is cumulative and higher order. The Meet will assist the student fraternity to face competitions and to understand how to apply knowledge. Moreover, every interesting and worthwhile venture in life comes with some elements of pressure: competition teaches students how to handle it. Math competitions are fabulous and intellectual opportunity to develop the skill for students. Therefore, the objective of the meet is to encourage the students to develop an ultimate interest in mathematics to love and appreciate the beauty of it.
