Sale of application forms for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE-2016) for B.Tech courses began in 92 Head Post Offices (HPO) on Friday. Sale was launched by

VIT University’s Chancellor G. Viswanathan at the HPO, Vellore.

A press release said that the VITEEE 2016 for admission to B.Tech courses offered in the Vellore and Chennai campuses of the VIT university will be held from April 6 to 17 next year. The Computer Based Test will be conducted in 118 cities including Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat.


The application forms for the entrance examination can be obtained from the HPOs by sending a demand draft for Rs. 990 drawn in favour of VIT University payable at Vellore to the Director – UG Admissions or by cash payment at select post offices country.


Issuing of online and offline applications has commenced from November 27. Candidates can also apply online at www.vit.ac.in. Online applicants need to pay Rs. 960. The last date for applying for the entrance examination is February 29, 2016. For further details, visit the university website at www.vit.ac.in, the press release said.
