India celebrates it’s 66th Republic Day today – the commemoration of a historic moment when India's constitution came into being on 26 January 1950, an event that completed the country's long-sought transition toward becoming an independent republic nation.

By the same token , VIT also commemorated the REPUBLIC DAY with great amount of pride and gratification. Madurai Kamaraj University VC Kalyani Mathivanan hoisted the national flag . Vit chancellor Dr. G Vishwanathan , Ex-MP Ira Sezhiyan,Guest of honor , Acharya ,Ajit , VIT VP’S Sekar Vishwanathan and GV selvam were also present at the occasion to honor their tri-color flag.
