VIT University signed an agreement with The University of Edinburgh today. The MoU was signed during a visit to VIT by Professor A. R. Wallace and Dr. Vengatesan Venugopal from the University of Edinburgh. Commenting on the occasion, VIT’s chancellor Mr.G.Viswanathan said the MoU brings VIT University a step closer to its goal of providing a truly world class education to each of its students. Dr. Muhammad Rukunuddin Ghalib, Assistant Director - International Relations, VIT University was also present.


The MoU allows for immediate student and faculty exchange programmes as well as joint research projects between the two universities. There will also be options for twinning (2+2) and semester abroad programmes in the days ahead.


The twinning programmes, in particular, will allow for students to do the first 2 years of their course in VIT and complete the course at the University of Edinburgh.
