Pravega Racing, the official Formula SAE team from VIT, Vellore participated in the recently concluded JK Tyre Formula Student India 2016 held at Buddh International Circuit from 23rd Jan to 28th Jan. A total of 47 teams from all over the country participated including IITs, NITs, BITS among others. The competition is held annually which challenges undergraduate and postgraduate students to design, manufacture and race a F1 prototype racecar all by themselves. The competition is being held in lines of the global Formula Student events conducted by SAE International.
Pravega Racing proved their mettle once again with the following awards:

• 1st place in Acceleration Event

• 1st place in Skidpad Event

• 1st place in Business Presentation

• 3rd place in Engineering Design

• 3rd place in Cost & Manufacturing

Owing to their performance in the competition, they continue to be the best ranked team from India in the world rankings. Also, they are among the select 5 teams who will represent India at the prestigious Formula Student Germany in August 2016.
