Fabrication / Characterization facilities

The following instruments from the Centre for Nanotechnology Research (CNR) are being extended for testing on pay per use basis internal (within VIT), external (outside VIT) researchers, as well as industries.

Dr. George Jacob, Assistant Professor Senior, Centre for Nanotechnology Research is the faculty coordinator of Testing and Consultancy. He will coordinate the consultancy process along with Dr. Raja Sellappan, Associate Professor Senior and Lab In-charge Nanotechnology Lab, Mr. Samuel Thomas Jeyaraj A., Lab Assistant and Mr. E Sathyanarayanan, Lab Attender.

Standard Operating Procedure for Internal and External Users

  • Booking a slot is mandatory through the Common Research Facility (CRF) portal for using the instrument in CNR https://crf.vit.ac.in

    Date Every Friday
    Time 12:00 PM
  • The analysis cost of each instrument is available in the CRF portal.
  • Researchers are requested to report to the lab (TT 027, Ground Floor, Nanotechnology Lab, Technology Tower) 15 minutes before the allotted slot with properly prepared samples, duly filled application form and online payment receipt. (For sample preparation, please refer to the technical notes of the individual instruments).
  • If you want to submit your sample(s) via courier/speed post, you can send it to the following address with duly filled application form and online payment receipt.

  • Results will be provided through CRF portal only.
